The Project is to generate renewable electricity from wind and supply to the Northwest China Power Grid (Hereinafter referred as NWPG). The NWPG currently uses conventional fossil fuel based thermal power plants to meet the majority of regional electricity demand, resulting in high levels of CO2 emissions.
