Project keyVCS-293Project descriptionSukhbir Agro Energy Limited is producer rice in the region. The capacity of the rice mill is 50 TPD of paddy processing. Steam is a vital utility to perform number of operations during the manufacturing of rice. To meet the process steam requirement, SAELdecided to go for captive steam generation by setting up an in-house boiler. Considering the fact that rice husk is a renewable source of energy and use of rice husk would prevent use of coal, a carbon intensive fossil fuel, SAEL decided to install a rice-husk fired boiler to meet its process steam requirement. The project activity involves installation of a 6 TPH capacity rice husk firedboiler to meet the captive steam (heat) requirement. The project activity leads toavoidance of consumption of fossil fuel for the generation of process steam andconsequently contributes to GHG emission reduction and actively participate in the climate change initiative and contribute towards the sustainable development of the region.
